Confirmation Message & When is a Bet Considered Struck – The customer should be aware that telephone betting is a more efficient & safer way of placing bets than Text / Email betting. If the customer chooses to Text or Email their bets to McCartanBet, then the customer understands that McCartanBet may choose to refuse bets (or part of the bets) at their discretion and that customers may not always receive a text confirmation back before the start of the event.

McCartanBet rules consider the bet to be struck when we reply to your message with a ‘Bet Confirmed’ Text, a bet receipt or similar. If customers do not receive a ‘Bet Confirmed’ or similar text\email before the start of an event, then the responsibility is with the customer to call the Telephone Betting number on 02838 327327  before the start of the event to see if their bet has been received & accepted. In the event that the customer, fails to receive a ‘Bet Confirmed’ text\email, McCartanBet will demonstrate to the customer that the ‘Bet Confirmed’ message was sent either before, or at the start of the event via the digital time-stamp which Text \ Email provide. Any texts with unclear instructions will be void. Once a bet in confirmed it cannot be cancelled.

We reserve the right to refuse all, or any part of a bet sent via text. This will be reflected in the confirmation text. It is the customers responsibility to ensure security of their account and we will not be liable to any loss that may occur due to misuse/fraud of your account

We do not recommend betting by Text\Email when close to the event start time, instead customers should phone their bets in so they know that their bet is struck. Ideally, we advise customers not to Text\Email their bets to us within 2 mins of the advertised start time, instead we recommend that customers phone them through. Customers may not delete messages and could lead to the use of the service being revoked. We can only accept bets/answer your queries between the hours of 9:30am – 8pm. Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday.

In order to avail of Best Odds Guaranteed the customer must state “Take Price” in message otherwise bet will be settled at SP

 

Payments & Available Funds – Bets placed by Text\ Email must be Staked appropriately within the customers available funds. If funds are not available, the customer will be asked to deposit sufficient funds. If you have insufficient funds for the bet request, we will proportion stake accordingly e.g £50 ew requested, £50 in balance = £25 ew struck. It is the customers responsibility to be aware of their available funds and can request a balance by Text or email at any time. All deposits must be verified and confirmed by staff before any bets can be placed. It is the customers responsibility to ensure deposits are sent in plenty of time as bets will not be accepted until deposit has been confirmed by us, irrespective of when the deposit was sent.  All Customer Funds are held in a separate bank account, but these are not protected in the event of insolvency.

 

Price Enquiry & Price Changes – Customers are encouraged to Text\ Email us with price enquiries. We will message you back with the current prices and then the customer can Text\ Email in their Bet Requests. If a price has changed, or our price on a selection is different from the price that the customer has sent through in their Text \ Email, we will inform the customer of the current market price.  To avoid disappointment McCartanBet recommends that customers phone through their bets during periods when price changes may be frequent and on in running events. All bets will be placed at the price that is in our Computer System at the time it is entered by our staff members.

 

Late Bets – Bets received after the off of the event will be considered void and will not stand regardless of when the Text \ Email was sent. The time on our phone system and our email system will state the time that we received the text\ Email and if it is after the official start time of an event, the bet will be void. We do offer in running prices at times and should a customer wish to avail of this facility they must clearly state it is in running betting they require. McCartanBet advise all customers to place any In Running bets or bets close to starting over the phone by calling 02838 327327

 

Security – It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your mobile phone. McCartanBet will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of misuse or unauthorised use of your mobile phone number or Account with McCartanBet, whether fraudulent or otherwise.
